The President submitted this update on 7/23/09.
We continue to enjoy "great bass fishing" on Little Platte Lake due in part to fellow anglers practicing "catch and release".
In a study of what has happened to our Northern Pike population in Little Platte Lake, the board of directors, in cooperation with the Grand Traverse Band of Ottowa and Chippewa Indians, are asking anglers who catch Northern Pike to collect scale samples for study. Please contact a board member for further instructions and envelopes for samples.
