John is a mostly retired attorney who,
with wife Char, has had a place in the Dunes Edge development on Little Platte
Lake since 1999. Char was
instrumental in organizing LPLA, and John did the legal work in setting up the
corporation and obtaining tax-free charitable status from the IRS.
In addition to serving on the LPLA Board, John has been Treasurer of
Dunes Edge Condo Association since its inception.
John and Char sold their place in the
Detroit area and moved here full-time a couple of years ago.
Since then John has been able to spend much of his time in a favorite
pursuit-- chasing birds. The gift of a camera last year added a new dimension to
looking at birds (and a new obsession!).
John is the President of the Benzie Audubon Club. He loves the fact that Little Platte Lake is home to bald eagles, loons, and countless other birds and animals. He wants to keep it that way.
