LPLA Background Information

This organization would not be in existence today without the insight and efforts of Char Ester.  Many hours of research, development of contacts and organizational development were required to establish this organization.  Char recognized the need for a group to oversee the health and welfare of our lake.  She also realized the need for lake conservation and supervision.   Thus our beloved Little Platte Lake would continue to be a safe home for all the plants and animals dependent on it and provide an enjoyable place for residents and visitors to commune with nature.

Char was elected President of the LPLA in August of 2003 and served in that capacity for two years.  Her leadership and guidance helped form the association as it exists today.

Char's husband, John was also instrumental in providing the legal expertise required in establishing the organization and provided endless hours providing the I.R.S. all required documents which established our charitable tax contribution exemption status.

The LPLA is indebted to this couple for their dedication and determination!
